Introducing eduroam Visitor Access

REANNZ is bringing more value our members with the introduction of the new eduroam Visitor Access (eVA) service.  eVA is widely used by the research and education community globally.

eVA allows you to offer visitors temporary credentials to your eduroam network, without the need for their own account.

If you have eduroam and Tuakiri, then eVA is a cost-effective, hassle-free way to offer visitors to your institution, temporary connectivity to your eduroam network.

The service can be especially useful when hosting conferences and events that see large numbers of visitors on site, all wanting access to the Wi-Fi.  Multiple accounts can be created by setting up an SMS Event or by making use of the user-friendly web portal.

Accounts can be time-limited and automatically deactivate at the time you set, reducing security concerns around lingering users while saving the effort of removing accounts manually.

The eVA credentials can be used by guests across multiple devices ensuring support for phones, tablets and laptops.

Outside of an initial eVA establishment fee, there are no ongoing costs associated with the service for members.
