Managed Access and Edge (MAE) devices connect a member’s local network with the REANNZ network, enabling data transfers both nationally and internationally.

REANNZ also offers a variation to MAE through the MAE Lite service, that is designed for smaller or more remote locations where a direct fibre connection is not available. And with MAE Lite - Hyperfibre, RENNZ offers MAE Lite at up to four times the speed.

eduroam, short for ‘education roaming’, is the worldwide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.
eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain internet connectivity at their campus or offices and when visiting other participating institutions.

Science DMZ provides a lightweight and high performing on-ramp to the REANNZ international research and education network. It creates a dedicated path that facilitates the transfer of large volumes of data, from multi-gigabyte to petabytes and terabytes, all while retaining the integrity of the data.

REANNZ Cloud Connect enables members to use their existing high-performance network connection to connect directly to the Cloud service provider of their choice and leverage private access which does not go over the Internet.This results in greater stability and predictability of the connection without needing to expose the information to the Internet.

Data Centre Connect (DC Connect) is a service that REANNZ can provide at selected Data Centre sites around the country, allowing for high bandwidth, cost effective connectivity into the REANNZ Network.
This service uses preinstalled equipment and diverse connectivity at the Data Centre, bringing the edge of the REANNZ Network into the facility which allows the quick delivery of new services and ensures high uptime and availability.
