We are on the lookout for a Research Support Specialist to join our growing team.
With the recent integration of New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) into REANNZ, we now provide a hub for eResearch across New Zealand, delivering network products and services, high-performance computing (HPC, AI/ML, data-analytics) infrastructure, and researcher-focused support.
Our Research Support Team is responsible for delivering support to researchers, technicians and research software engineers across a range of science and research disciplines, both applied and theoretical. This includes interaction via support desk, face-to-face meetings, training and workshops. We aim to build researcher capability, provide research application advice and expertise, tune software and workflows, gather requirements, tailor solutions, and resolve issues.
In this role you'll be:
Advising researchers on how to access and use REANNZ infrastructure and services, including assisting with their workflow development, software needs and data management.
Assisting in planning, running and developing workshops and training courses.
Providing a friendly and responsive experience, working with scientists with a variety of different computational backgrounds, as well as being a trusted adviser.
Identifying and contributing to consultancy engagements, bringing your specialist application domain and/or methods knowledge to bear to enable and enhance research outcomes.
