REANNZ Parliament briefing was a huge success

REANNZ presented at a parliamentary briefing in the Grand Hall at the Beehive.

On Tuesday night REANNZ presented at a parliamentary briefing in the Grand Hall at the Beehive.

Hosted by Dr Jian Yang MP, the aim of the event was to explain what a National Research and Education Network (NREN) is and why it's essential to the future economic success of New Zealand.

The Honourable Steven Joyce MP also spoke, pointing out that connectivity is increasingly fundamental to our research and science community. He said that REANNZ can help us move towards the goal of New Zealand becoming a successful innovation hub in the South Pacific.

We presented three case study videos on our 8K visualisation wall. We heard from Dr Andrew Ensor from Auckland University of Technology, Chris Cornelisen from Cawthron Institute and Kathy Wolfe and Paul Fallon from W2 Shared Services.

The team had a great time talking to members, politicians and other guests at the event. Thanks to all of the 130+ people who attended.
