KAREN membership

Through KAREN membership, 99 organisations at 144 sites across the country are using and developing the best information and communication technologies to accelerate their education and research activities.

KAREN is dedicated to research, education and innovation in New Zealand. KAREN membership is open to Crown research institutes, universities, institutes of technology and polytechnics, wananga, schools, libraries, museums, health and government agencies, and private sector partners.

Membership categories

Members

Members are New Zealand tertiary education institutions (universities, institutes of technology and polytechnics and wananga), Crown Research Institutes and the National Library of New Zealand. These organisations are leading the way in the use of advanced technologies for research and education. KAREN Member and Associate Member list

Associate Members

Associate Members are organisations that deliver education or research (such as schools), or that provide education or research services. Libraries, archives and museums are also eligible to become Associate Members. KAREN Member and Associate Member list

Sponsored Partners (NEW)

Sponsored Partners are organisations that are engaged in an ongoing a research or education collaboration with a KAREN Member. Their connection to KAREN is sponsored by a KAREN Member. About Sponsored Partners

Partners

Partners are organisations that have a role in providing, co-ordinating or administering education or research. This includes private sector companies that partner with or supply content and services to our Members or Associate Members, government agencies, partners and hospitals.
