On Tuesday 23 February, REANNZ will host Gordon Cook (author of the infamous Cook Report) for an open seminar (held via video conference) with KAREN members.
InternetNZ have Gordon Cook - famed author of the Cook Report on the Economics of IP Networks and the custodian of the Arch-Econ list for the past 18 years - is coming to New Zealand for a 3-day tour in late February - including two days in Wellington. During his visit, REANNZ will host Gordon for an afternoon open community session on eScience and advanced network developments.
Gordon has recently completed an in-depth study of the eScience system and advanced network (SurfNet) in the Netherlands. As many of you will know, SurfNet is at the leading edge of advanced network thinking and usage. Gordon will share with us his key findings and enter into discussions about what New Zealand can learn from them.
