REANNZ's Capability Build Fund supports our core members to build capability and awareness of KAREN. The Capability Build Fund is a $4.8m fund (excl GST) provided by the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology.

As part of their ongoing commitment to the research and education sectors, and their partnering relationship with REANNZ, TelstraClear contributed $500,000 to the Capability Build Fund.

2010 Capability Build Travel and Event Fund - open

The 2010 Capability Build Travel and Event Fund is open for applications from core KAREN Members (universities and Crown research institutes). The purpose of this fund is to support events that demonstrate the value of collaboration on KAREN, networking technologies and the applications and services for which they are used.
